Where are you from and where do you currently reside? I grew up in Dunedin, FL and currently back and forth between the Tampa Bay Area and Nashville, TN. What musical influences did you have growing up? My childhood was filled with a lot of Shania Twain, Trisha Yearwood, Tim McGraw, and a mix of James Taylor and Carole King from my parents. What inspired you to start making music or pick up an instrument? Was there a moment in time when you decided "this is what I want to do with my life"? Our home was always filled with music growing up. My parents were in the worship band at our church which is where I had my first solo at six years old. I also started singing at open mic nights with my brother when I was in high school, which led me to start writing songs. Music is in my blood so I've always wanted it a part of my life, but it wasn't until college that I really started focusing on how to make a career out of it. Describe your life in six words. Musical, Fun, Beachy, Upbeat, Blessed, Persistent. Pick your favorite social media platform and tell us why. I do like Instagram for the photos, but I enjoy using Facebook better. It's easier to post more content and allows the artist to use more tools to connect with fans in opinion. What role does music play in your life currently? What helps spark your creativity or motivation? Music plays a daily role in my life. If I'm not writing or playing a show, I'm always trying to absorb things around me to create. I also think it's really important to "live" as an artist to be able to stay true to your authentic self when songwriting. You'll always write a better song when it's something you actually felt or experienced. Why go with the Luna brand? First off, I love that it's a Tampa Bay based brand. I love all things Florida, especially when it's from my hometown. Luna also has the coolest little details in all of the guitars and ukes which make them very unique and special. Which Luna instruments do you play now and what attracted you to these models? I have the High Tide Koa Guitar which was the first one I picked out. I love the look of it with the dark color and the little waves on each fret. Not only does it look cool, but it sounds amazing!!! I play this one at all of my shows now and absolutely love it! I also have the High Tide Ukulele which is also my favorite! This Uke also has a great sound! If you could play alongside an artist living or deceased, who would it be and why? I would be so cool to play a show with Sheryl Crow!!! She's been such a musical inspiration for me, and I'd love to learn from her. Also, she still looks incredible, I need all of her secrets. :) Which genre of music fits your playing style the most? Country Music. What's on the horizon for you? Well 2020 has been an interesting year, but I just released a new EP that's available called "Beach Vibes" that's now available! Luna Artist Interview Questions: Aubrey Wollett
