Where are you from and where do you currently reside? I live in Ontario, Canada How old were you when you began your musical career path? I started singing at 3, on stage at competitions at age 5 where I sang and danced. Have you been featured on any award shows? If so, which ones and tell us about these experiences? Recently I was on a show here in Canada called the Launch produced by Scott Borchetta, aka the man behind Taylor Swift! In this show we get a chance to learn an original song written and then perform it live in 48 hours with hopes of launching it world wide. During the process we get mentored and my mentor was Shania Twain and song writer Busbee. That experience was unreal which I made it top 2 in Canada! In addition to the Launch, I also went far on Americas got Talent making it to auditions with a yes but didnt proceed after that. What musical influences did yo have while your were growing up? My musical influences growing up were alot of jazz and musicals since I was singing that first on stage at 5 "broadway Baby" dream a little dream, Ella Fitzgerald , but Taylor Swift impacted me a lot I had all her songs memorized at age 5 she made me fall in love with guitar and uke so thanks Taylor ! Was there a moment in time when you decided "this is what I want to do for the rest of my life"? Probably when I finished my time with the group I was in called minipopkids; I toured with them, made records and music videos. I also was involved with Bullies reality we toured schools in the USA, discussing online bullying while sharing our stories to help kids cope with this growing issue. I think it was then I knew I wanted to make a difference and do this for a long time. How long have you been on social media and which platform do you think is most effective? Ive been on social media since I was 5 years old - I believe YouTube was made when I was 3 or 4 years old and after I started making music videos I noticed it was quickly growing my channel. At 7 years old, I launched my Instagram account and began posting my dancing videos and singing videos. I found Instagram very effective especially using hashtags which helped get my music out there. In addition to Instagram, I cross promoted with an app called musically where I have over 1 million followers. Im slowly growing my Facebook and Twitter are growing as well One way or another, the role music plays in everyones lives is powerful. What role does music play in your life, what helps spark your creativity? My creativity sparks when Im writing music, which I learn how to connect with my emotions and write them down, without feeling judged. Going to schools to talk about teen suicide and bullying has really empowered me to keep my musical career going and continue to use my platform to promote positivity! I love to read messages how I changed their life! What draws you to Luna Guitars and why did you ultimately choose this path? I love the designs and artwork with each Luna instrument. A mutual partner Instagram account directed me to Luna - When I checked out the wonderful website and soundscape the ukes I fell in love! Which Luna models do you play now and why? Love my TAPA Spruce Concert uke - the sound is awesome and I love playing it live! My guitar of choice is the Flora Passion Flower acoustic / electric. Both of which are amazing!! I also have a High Tide Soprano KOA and a Henna Oasis as my backups. Whats on the horizon for you? Im hoping my music career takes me on the path of working with songwriters, making more albums, touring and performing live. I live on stage its my comfort place. Just recently, I feel so honoured to have recently signed with Big Machine Label! Im extremely excited to see what unfolds in the next few months and year!!! Stay tuned.
